This disk contains new data files for your HPC CodeMax Update Program

The default location for your CodeMax Update Program is:

C:\Program Files\HPCSoft\CodeMax

Following is a listing of the data files:

CodeMax.bin	CodeMax operating instructions
VectorMax.bin	Addresses for CodeMax operating instructions
CmaxDSD.bin	Depth and Space Data

To update your CodeMax, start the Update CodeMax Program. Click Configure Port or click on the Com port your CodeMax is connected to, click on what you want to update, 'Program Only' or 'Program and DSD', click Start Update.

Status will display progress: Waiting for Load Command, Waiting for STX, Sending Data (514 bytes, 1, 2, etc.), Waiting for ACK, Send Complete. During the update process, the CodeMax screen will display "Starting Upgrade  **Please Wait**". CodeMax will beep when the update is completed.

If the new update information does not appear in your CodeMax, repeat the update process. Be sure you are using the latest files.

If your CodeMax does not beep on completion of the update process, or if the update process is interrupted, or if the CodeMax screen remains dark or displays black bars after Send Complete, use the following Emergency Restore procedure:

Turn off your CodeMax, leave it off until instructed below.
Start the Update CodeMax Program.
LEAVE YOUR CODEMAX TURNED OFF!
Click 'Emergency Restore'.
Click Start Update.
When Status reads "Waiting for STX", turn ON CodeMax.
CodeMax operating instructions will download.
After Send Complete, turn your CodeMax off, wait 10 seconds, then turn your CodeMax on again.
You may need to click 'Program and DSD' to update the DSD file
