  • Line 1: Each Blitz Machine is a 10. (10+10+10=30)
  • Line 2: Since the Blitz is a 10, each Air Wedge must be a 5. (10+5+5=20)
  • Line 3: Since an Air Wedge is 5, each set of 4 HPC Picks is equal to 2. (5+2+2=9)
  • Line 4: This is the tricky line. It's not all addition anymore and one of the rules of mathematics (PEMDAS) is that you always do multiplication before addition. Also note that there are only two picks, not four.
So this equation reads 5+1x10 or 5+10, so the answer is 15

1) Based on the 4th Clue we have to eliminate the numbers 8, 4, and 9.
2) Based on Clues 1 and 2 we have to eliminate the number 7.
3) So based on Clue #1 & #3 the third digit in the combination must be 3.
4) Based on Clues #3 and #5 the first digit in the combination must be 1.
Finally, based on Clue #2 the second digit in the and combination must be 5.

Solution:
So you want to get everyone across from Shore A to Shore B but you can only take one over at a time. You can't leave the Leprechaun alone with the CodeMax and you can't leave the CodeMax alone with the ESP blanks. But you can leave the Leprechaun alone with the pot of ESP Blanks.
  1. Take the CodeMax across first from Shore A to Shore B.
  2. Come back and take the Leprechaun from Shore A to Shore B. You can't leave him with the CodeMax so...
  3. Take the CodeMax back from Shore B to Shore A.
  4. Now take the ESP Blanks from Shore A to Shore B.
  5. Final trip, go back and get the CodeMax and bring him from Shore A to Shore B and you are all safely across.
