Since 1963, Hudson Lock and ESP Lock have been designing and manufacturing highly engineered, custom and specialty medium-security locks and locking systems to meet customers’ specifications.
Hudson was founded in 1963 as a manufacturer of lock plugs for the door handle manufacturing industry. The companies original products included lock plugs for cabinet handles, camping trailer handles and screen-door handles.During the 1970’s Hudson began to diversify its customer base and to supply locks to OEM customers in several different industries. These new, diverse industries included manufacturers of office furniture, bank deposit bags, gasoline pumps, and mail boxes.

In the 1980’s, Hudson focused on the development of specialty custom locks for highly specialized OEM’s. Also during the 1980’s and counting into the 1990’s,Hudson began improving its overall manufacturing capabilities and efficiency by employing automation in its manufacturing and assembly processes.Hudson Lock was acquired by Key Components, Inc. in 1997. That same year, Key Components acquired ESP Lock Products of Leominster, Massachusetts and consolidated ESP’s RAD Lock Division onto Hudson. In 2004, Hudson Lock and ESP Lock Products was acquired by Waveland Investments and senior management. This acquisition solidified senior management’s commitment to Hudson Lock’s future.

Hudson has a history of innovation in developing new products and place significant emphasis on product development. We believe that these efforts enable us to achieve our goal of leading the market. Our product development and improvement activities include: The design and development of new technically advanced products in response to changing industry and customer requirements, refinement of our manufacturing capabilities and improvement in product compositing, durability and reliability. |
Manufacturing
Hudson’s manufacturing process is among one of the many factors distinguishing us from our competitors. We employ a vertically integrated operation that almost completely controls that manufacturing process from product and tooling design to the time the brass strip and zinc ingot arrive, through die casting, assembly, inspection and shipment. |
Quality
Hudson’s quality control program helps make us an industry leader. Beginning with receipt or raw materials from outside suppliers and ending with testing of finished products, a series of quality inspections are performed to validate conformity to purchased product specifications, engineering requirements. Hudson Lock is ISO 9001 registered and certified. All quality control procedures in the manufacturing process are documented on our quality manual, procedures and work instructions. |

Terms & Conditions
Returns will only be accepted if the product is defective or incorrect within 14 days of receipt
- Price: Unless otherwise stated in this acknowledgement, unit prices are firm for releases scheduled for shipment within ninety (90) days of the data of this order. On releases scheduled after said ninety (90) day period, seller reserves the right to increase or decrease its prices in the event of a significant change in material costs subsequent to the original quotation date.
- Quantity: Unit process are based on total order quantity and delivery of quoted release quantities. Seller reserves the right to re-quote new prices in the event of a change in total order or release quantities.
- Releases: Scheduled releases deferred more than thirty (30) days after requested release date are subject to storage and handling charges of one-half (1/2) percent per week.
- Delays: Estimates of delivery are made by Seller in good faith but are not guaranteed and Seller does not assume any risk of delay due to government priorities, strikes, differences with workman, accidents to machinery, delays of carriers, fires or any other cause for delay beyond Seller’s control.
- Cancellation: Orders are not subject to cancellation except by obtaining the written consent of the Seller, with terms and conditions which will indemnify the Seller for all loss or damage resulting there from. The minimum cancellation charge is 20% of the Total value of this order.
- Claims: If material supplied is defective or fails to meet specifications, Buyer shall notify Seller of any claims immediately; goods are not to be returned without the Seller’s permission; and in any event, the Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer for any consequential damages.
- Terms of Payment: On all accounts not paid within terms a handling cost will be charged at the rate of two (2) percent per month beginning on the first day of the month following the date on which payment is due.
- Tooling: Since tooling charges represent only a portion of the total tool cost, Seller reserves the right to catalog and sell this item. Charges made for tools do not convey the right to remove tools from Seller’s plant. Terms are one-half (1/2) the tool amount deposited with the order; balance due upon sample approval. If re-order is not received within eighteen (18) months, Seller reserves the right to dispose of tools and quote all subsequent orders with a charge for new tools.
- Security Interest: Seller reserves and retains a security interest in the products and proceeds thereof, until payment therefore in full has been made by the Buyer. It is further understood and agreed that this contract constitutes a security agreement between Buyer, as Debtor, and Seller, as Secured Party, under the Uniform Commercial Code; and that Sellerhas the rights and remedies of a secured party there under. Buyer hereby authorizes Seller to sign on Buyer’s behalf and file full financing statements and to do any other act or thing necessary or useful in perfecting Seller’s security interest in the products.
- Modifications: This contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and there are no understandings, representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, not expressly set forth herein. No modification of this contract shall be of any force or effect unless such modifications are in writing and signed by the party to be bound hereby, and no modification.
